I don't mean to offend anyone by sharing a link from the long beshitted book of faces. But sometime, maybe not now, maybe this should wait until after alpha testing is done. Or maybe some time after beta. We should start to talk about why we continue to interact with facebook.

But the philosophical part can wait. I am testing the post a link feature here. And I'm also sharing a link to someone who, along with the owner of this server, is the main reason why I keep coming back to Facebook. This young author Sumiko Nakano, unable to speak in any language, but writes beautiful English and reads source documents from Japan's Heian era. She has reached just shy of a million people, including this one. She is pretty all around awesome. If this link works, which it very likely won't because Facebook seems to want to trap you inside its little back alley, other's with an interest in Japanese history can read a much better than usual take on the hugely important topic of why people were naming their kids \"shit\" back in that era (AD 700-1000 ish) and what kind of documents actually support that as a fact.
